The Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan today announced the starting date for the export of Mangoes as May 15th 2010. The dates announced are normal procedure to harmonize the situation so that unripe mangoes would not be exported. Last year's export date was 20th May. On demand of exporters this year's date has been revised to May 15th due to warmer weather conditions.

Exporters have welcomed this decision except some who demanded May 10th as the export date, however the association intervened to finalize date as of May 15th.
